Wow...so I'm officially an English major.  I am sitting in the library, currently avoiding the project I came here to do.  And what is that project?  I have to write a research paper.  Here is the catch...it is a research paper on citing sources.  So a research paper essentially on a research paper.  Ummm...yay for writing classes.

Luckily, other than that, life is wonderful right now.  So I think I'll survive the wretchedness of this assignment.  Really, I am excited because I've had some good times with the Lord lately.  And the women's ministry outdoor adventure day I helped planned went awesome, thank the Lord.  And now that it's done, I have one less thing on my schedule.  Anyway, time to get back to my research....

Mmmmm....Can I just say that life is good right now.  I just got back from a weekend retreat at Camp Harlow with Cru, and it was wonderful.  Definitely a very good refresher and a time to refocus after the stress and distractions of the first three weeks of school.  Our speaker was Mark Mielbrecht, and he did a phenomenal job.  Then the worship was so amazing.  Along with a lot of fun times just hanging out and getting to know new people, it was definitely what I needed.

Oh, and a note on one of the activities.  So we had a pumpking carving contest.  Well, there was one pumpking that basically looked like it had a butt crack.  So we decide to rig up this thing were we take a scarecrow so we have a body, and put my coat over it, and then use a belt to attach some pants on the pumpkin...plumber style.  So we make this set up where basically the pumpkin is mooning everyone.  So much fun.

Anyway, back to the serious note.  This weekend I had some sweet time with the Lord, and it is definitely one of my favorite retreats I've ever been on.  Praise the Lord!

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.  Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.  Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

Hey again y'all.  So entry #2, I'm not feeling it so much, but I'll see what I can do.  Right now I really should be getting ready to go to class that starts in about 40 minutes.  But because I love talking to y'all so much more than going to class, I thought I'd throw out a quick lil' update.  Life is a little crazy now, what with school, and all the involvements with Campus Crusade for Christ (heretofore referred to as Cru).  But it also is good, and I am finding the sweet little moments God provides that make me reflect on how good my life really is.  And with that, I am off to another crazy day at the races.  I'm sure that eventually I will become motivated and write something that would actually qualify as an update, because this was a somewhat pathetic attempt.  Oh wait, that requires time, something I'm lacking now...

Peace Out

Hey y'all.  So, I'm new at this.  And there are so many buttons to figure out out.  Welp, just getting a site is enough of a start for me.  Hopefully I'll remember to post again sometime soon   For now I'm just proud of myself for making one of these crazy things.
